Mike Bindraban (1980) is founder and composer of The Mirror Conspiracy and plays electric piano/fender rhodes with the band. After finishing his Law-degree, Mike worked as an attorney on the island of Saint Martin, where he grew up. He is currently a lecturer at a university and published a book on constitutional law. In music, he enjoys playing various keyboards, piano's and synthesizers. He played keys in Hyphen and Anamorphose, an underground electronic project with friends. In 2007 he initiated the ensemble that formed The Mirror Conspiracy. Mike is modest but effective composing and directing the TMC music with distinct chords and carpets. Together with soundengineer Gertjan Koning he produced TMC's debutalbum Mozaic, which was nominated for a Dutch Jazz Grammy (Edison Jazz Publieksprijs). He finds his inspiration in travelling and entrepeneurship, meeting different artists, reading about world history and listening to different movements in jazz music. He is keen on Miles Davis and Weather Report but also enjoys Jaga Jazzist, Cinematic Orchestra, Steve Coleman, Nik Bartsch, Erik Truffaz and many more.
